Come and join us for a free seminar on Meditation on the Heart Sutra. Yuan Ya, the director of UK Bodhi Association (also the president of European Bodhicitta Society) will be giving a seminar titled: Meditation on the Heart Sutra on 25/02/2014 at UCL. Mr. Yuan has been invited to give lectures in many other European countries, the response from the audiences is very positive and a lot of people feel enlightened and feel closer to their own inner world. These series of lectures have been given in the UK, France, German, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Holland and University of York.
By studying the theories of how our mind function and practicing meditation, our mind will become more stable, with this, we will gain more wisdom and compassion and thus lead us to a happy, joyful and meaningful life.

Title of the speech:
Meditation on The Heart Sutra
The talk is about the meaning of the Heart Sutra, how it can help us to gain temporary happiness in this life and ultimately help us to liberate from all sufferings through realizing the nature of our mind. The session will begin by explaining the philosophy of the Heart Sutra and then method to put it into practice to gain experience through meditation will be presented. The philosophical explanation and meditation practice to be presented will be based on the commentaries on heart sutra by Khenpo Sodargye and Khenpo Tsultrim Lodoe.
The format of the meeting:
7.00pm-8.00pm: Speaker talks about the given topic. In the middle of the talks, 2-3 short meditations will be introduced. We will sit together to meditate for 2-3 minutes for each of them.
8.00pm – 8.30pm: Question and Answer session.
8.30pm-9pm: Guided Meditation Session.
